I am licensed and insured in the state of Colorado and have been practicing massage full time for 18 years, graduating from Massage Therapy Institute in St. Augustine Florida in 2001. I was voted Best Massage Therapist of St. Augustine for 2007, 2008, and 2009. I am committed to your health and well-being. In addition to relaxation, and relief from chronic and acute pain, I provide client education to empower you with the knowledge to keep yourself well. I became a Certified Cupping Practitioner in 2014. I love learning, and continue to attend new trainings to keep upleveling my skill set. I recently began training in and practicing Visceral Manipulation. Read my current blog post on Visceral Manipulation here: https://presentmomentmassageco.com/visceral-manipulation-2/ Give it a google! Or check it out here: http://www.discovervm.com/?&lastpage=0
The modalities I currently use in my massage treatments include Deep Tissue massage, Cupping Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Foot Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Structural Energetic Therapy. I specialize in neck, headache, spine, and low back/hip pain and digestive issues. Pre-natal massage is another one of my talents that I love to give, to support Mother-to-be and Baby alike. I have been practicing stress reduction techniques such as concentration to the breath and body scans for the past 15 years, and can use them to help you during your massage if you wish to enhance the benefits of your massage.
When I’m not giving massages, I may be studying anatomy and physiology of the organs (viscera). I love spending time with my husband and son, kayaking, camping, traveling, dancing, playing board games.
Tressa has been honing her craft, as a licensed massage therapist since 2016, and specializes in flowing deep tissue body work. She incorporates hot stones, cupping, and other modalities, such as BodyInsight, Thai, energy work, and she is learning Structural Integration. She FIRST experienced the power and importance of touch, while giving hands-on assists in her yoga classes, teaching in Fort Collins, since 2007. Tressa is fascinated with the body/mind/spirit connection, and loves to hold space for whatever people are going through, by being present with them, while they work through challenges, and heal themselves. Massage has many benefits, and Tressa knows just where to work to relieve pain, stuck emotions, tension, and can help with common injuries & aches, by suggesting specific strength or flexibility exercises to help the changes last longer.
Besides massage and yoga, Tressa loves making pottery, frolicking with her dog, McLovin, and doing puzzles with her adorable nephews. Music and travel feed her soul.
